Pantry

“He who does not get fun and enjoyment out of every day... needs to reorganize his life.” --  George M. Adams

My aunt was looking through my blog when she came across the post about my pantry.  Her only comment was, "Oh, dear!"
Condemned in two short words.  Naturally, my cousin chimed in with "I thought you already remodeled your kitchen."

Uhm. No. I've been meaning to get around to it, but.....

Ha!  I finally got off my duff and organized my pantry!  Every visitor to my house this past week has had to look at my handiwork.  I am indeed geeky enough to show it off.  Funny thing too, my friends are all duly impressed.   Of course, they politely ask when I will repaint it, but that's another project for another day.  I am pleased with myself for getting this far.  Notice that the tiered hanging basket has been removed!  Yeah!  And check this out, all my muffin tins and other baking accoutrements are neatly secured in vertical shelf organizers.  No more pans binging me in the head!

Jars of different flours and rice are easily accessible.

Even my drawers are organized!  For 14 years I have cursed these drawers and now it's heaven
to open them and find just the container I need.

I've been thinking about painting the walls, shelves and drawers a crisp white and then adding fresh shelf paper.
I love the patterns from Chic Shelf Paper, but as my kitchen is truly vintage with original hardware and 50's plastic
pink tiles, I am thinking Etsy might be the better way to go.
